EMERGENCY NOTICE FOR ALBERTA TAX EXEMPT RETAILERS: Tax Exempt Transactions Not Working For All Alberta Retailers

Update to Alberta Electronic Tax Exemption Outage 3:30pm MST: Wiz-Tec is currently still working with our retailers and the Alberta TRA. Please reach out to our service team if you need recommendations on how to keep operating.

We have received multiple reports of electronic tax exemption services being unavailable for First Nations retailers. We have determined that this electronic tax exemption outage is currently affecting ALL tax-exempt fuel and tobacco retailers across Alberta. If tax-exempt transactions are not working on your electronic system, please note that we are diligently working to find a prompt resolution to get you back up and running as soon as possible.

Electronic Tax Exempt Transactions Not Working Across Alberta

We have determined the cause is not iPOS. Instead, it is an external issue with the status information provided to us (and all other electronic POS systems in Alberta). We are currently working with the Alberta TRA to resolve the issue.

Remember, we are here to help you. Though our customers will receive priority regarding updates about the issue, we are opening our service line to ALL affected sites in Alberta.
